Reg Poole Update

A daring raid by the Gunbarrel Highwaymen (a.k.a. Terry Gordon, Owen Blundell & Reg Poole) proved successful when the 3 'Bushrangers' hit the states of Western & South Australia in the month of March. 'The Boys' made some new friends and travelled some new ground as they toured around. Big crowds in Armadale (WA) Adelaide (Twice) Victor Harbour and Robertson made it an excellent tour for 'The Boys'. Marilyn Sullivan from Smoky Bay organised the run & also showed her hospitality skills when she hosted 'The Boys' for 4 days on their Oyster Farm. Reg, his wife Dot, and Owen braved the early morning cold and rain to venture out onto the oyster lease - And what of Terry??? well Terry chickened out (said he had a sniffle in the nose). "A very interesting experience" said Reg - who is more closely linked with dairy farming. Next trip for the Gunbarrel boys is in June when they attack Goulburn Railway Bowls on the 21st, Hexham Bowls on the 22nd, Bellbird Workers on the 23rd, and Taree Railway Bowls on the 24th - Don't Miss them if they come to your town.

During May and June, Reg and Owen are taking their show across to Tasmania for shows at Huon, Lindisfarne, Launceston, St Helens, Ulverstone, & Deloraine. Reg & Dot then meet up with Keith Jamieson and the guitar pickin' chicken, Alisha Smith for a 4 month music tour right around Australia. First show is on Thursday 28th June at Kyogle Bowls Club - More about that later. Reg's latest Album 'For The Love Of My Country' (Recorded at Redback Studios in Leeton - www.redbakstudios.com.au) is proving to be very popular with excellent sales & comments. Reg recently won 'Best Male Vocal' at the Bungendore CM Awards. The multi award winning album is available through Onestop Entertainment from any good record store. New ALBUM Soon!!! - Just prior to Tamworth, Reg was hard at work in the studio recording his brand new album which is due for release in March 2006. The album remains true to the Reg Poole style we all know and love, with a little hint of modern flavour. With 10 songs and 3 Monologues, the album includes "For The Love Of My Country", a great Reg Poole original as the title track. Reg performed one of the new tracks during Tamworth Festival, and it proved to be extremely popular with the fans as Reg's lovely wife Dot was keep busy with pre orders every time he sang it! 'A Tribute To Slim' was written by WA singer/songwriter Barney O'Donnell and is set to be released as the first single in late March. The album was recorded at the new Redback Studios in Leeton NSW.
